Alissa Davies is in her first season as an assistant coach for men’s and women’s swimming at Oakland University. She had coached with the Sylvania Tsunami Club team (2003-04/Toledo, Ohio) and the OLY Swim Club (2006-07).

Davies earned four letters in swimming at Bowling Green State (Ohio). She twice made All-MAC (Mid-American Conference) and All-MAC Academic Honorable Mention. She ranks among the top 10 in BGSU history in the 50-yard freestyle (23.83-3rd) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.19-7th).

A native of Monmouth, Ill., Davies has a BS in Athletic Training with a minor in Biology from BGSU and an AS in Physical Therapy Assisting from Owens Community College. She is working on a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Oakland. Davies competed in the 2003 U.S. Open and U.S. National Championships and just missed qualifying for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials.
