SCHEDULING PRACTICE TIME
Practice times for all sports must be scheduled at least two weeks prior to scheduled
contest; thus practice times can be modified if necessary.
If you are interested in scheduling a practice time, please call the OU Athletic Coordinator Elisabeth Putnam (248) 370-4050 and the athletic trainer (248) 370-3189.
If a conflict should arise with your requested practice times (due to another scheduled event), you may contact the Oakland Recreation Center at (248) 370-4881. This is to be used only as an alternative to the regular protocol of scheduling practice times.
ATHLETIC TRAINER, TRAINING ROOM & GAME
EQUIPMENT
There will be a Certified Athletic Trainer and/or student athletic trainer at all
events. The training room is located in the lower level of the athletic wing of the
Student Recreation and Athletics Center (SRA). A taping table can be found in your locker
room for your use. Modalities are available in the training room. No electrotherapy will
be administered unless your Athletic Trainer is present, or your Head Athletic Trainer or
Team Physician sends a prescription. If you will be practicing at Oakland University,
please call the training room in advance so that we can make arrangements for your team.
The OU Sports Medicine staff consists of Head Athletic Trainer Tom Ford
(248-370-3189) and Assistant Athletic Trainers David McAuliffe, Lindsey Harn
and John Ciecko (248-370-3132)
Oakland University will provide you with a locker room, shower facility and towels. Bench towels, cups, ice, and water will be provided behind or near your bench area. If we can be of further assistance, please contact the equipment manager (248) 370-4012 in advance.
COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS
For all Summit League basketball games, OU will provide 50
complimentary tickets to each visiting team (a doubleheader will result in the mens
team receiving 50 tickets and womens team receiving 50 tickets). The 50
complimentary tickets will be issued to persons listed on an official advanced guest
list only. Upon arrival to the arena, please provide the OU ticket office with your
official advanced guest list, thus tickets can be reserved for your teams guests
prior to the scheduled contest.
