KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Caitlin Young won games in both singles and doubles, but the Oakland women's tennis team (0-5) lost, 7-0, to Western Michigan (7-3) on Sunday at West Hills Athletic Club. The Golden Grizzlies had to forfeit matches in doubles and singles due to injury.

Young partnered with Grace Keating in an 8-4 loss at No. 1 doubles. Brittany Baxter and Demi Georgakopoulos fell 8-2 in the other doubles match.

Young battled at No. 1 singles, but succumbed 6-2, 6-2 to Maggie Remynse. Baxter fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, while Keating lost 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Georgakopoulos was defeated 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Oakland returns to action on Feb. 25 with a match at Cleveland State at 4 p.m.
