KETTERING, Ohio - Maya Parsons tallied a fourth-place finish with her second consecutive score of 75 (150/+10) to lead the Oakland women's golf team to a third-place finish (624/+64) in the UD Fall Invitational at NCR Country Club North Course (Par 70, 6,866 yards) on Tuesday.

“This was a nice way to finish the fall,” said OU coach Russ Cunningham. “Maya (Parsons) was outstanding and it was impressive how well she responded being in contention. With the calmer conditions it's no surprise everyone played better, but the difference was Mara’s (Kovac) 10-stroke improvement.”

Cincinnati captured the team title after shooting 302 in the final round and finished with a score of 605 (+45). Summit League foe IUPUI finished second at 620 (+60), four shots ahead of OU. Detroit's Lindsey Lammers captured medalist honors in a playoff, finishing with an overall score of 147 (+7), three shots ahead of OU's Parsons.

Liz Ecker fired a final round of 77 to finish in a tie for 10th place with an overall score of 156 (+16), while Mara Kovac recorded the best final round for Oakland with a 74, finishing in a tie for 17th place (158/+18). Alanna Gerber was the final scorer for OU on the day with a 79 as OU posted a final round score of 305, 14 shots better than yesterday's total.

This marks the final fall tournament for the Golden Grizzlies.
