ROCHESTER, Mich.- The Oakland men's soccer team will wrap up the preseason exhibition slate on Sunday against Butler at 4:30 p.m. at Varsity Field. The Golden Grizzlies are 2-0 this season in exhibition matches.
OAKLAND SOCCER NOTES
▪ The Golden Grizzlies opened the season on Monday with a 2-0 exhibition win over defending Horizon League Champions Valparaiso and followed it with a 2-1 win over Bowling Green.
▪ Oakland has had four different players score during the preseason: Kyle Bethel, Gavin Hoy (Valpo) and Miche'le Lipari, Johnny Dreshaj (BGSU).
▪ Goalkeeper Wes Smith picked up the assist on Hoy's goal against Valpo.
▪ Smith has logged 90 minutes of shutout action in the nets for OU.
▪ Butler is coached by former Oakland player Paul Snape.
▪ Both of Oakland's home exhibition matches this season have been played as three 30-minute periods by coaches' agreement.
