WaltonMaliUnveiling.jpg (25114 bytes)Mali Walton is the only three-time All-American and four-time All-Region honoree in OU men's soccer history. An attacking threat for OU, Walton continually outscored his opponents and was a major concern for the opposing defense.

Walton helped lead OU to four NCAA Tournaments during his career, which include two final four appearances and one finalist showing. Walton holds the school record for career assists (46) and ranks fifth in career points (108). He is also second in single-season points (48 - 1992), fourth in single-season assists (14 - 1992, 1994), seventh in single-season goals (17 - 1992) and 10th in career goals (31). As a sophomore, Walton finished 15th in the country in scoring.

Walton's soccer career didn't end when he left Oakland. He has built a tremendous resume playing professional soccer since 1995. Currently, Walton plays for the Rochester Raging Rhinos, in which he has been a part of four championships in his post-college career -- three A-League and one Open Cup.

In addition to playing with the Rhinos in the outdoor league, Walton has also played professional indoor soccer with the Detroit Neon (Summer 1995), Tampa Bay Terror (1995-97), Richmond Kickers (Summer 1996), Mid- Michigan Bucks (Summer 1997), Philadelphia Kixx (1997-99), and the Buffalo Blizzard (1999-01).

Walton graduated from Oakland with a degree in sociology. Walton and his wife Nicole Parrish, reside in Rochester, New York. The couple is expecting their first child in October.
