Oakland Heads West for CIT Semifinals

ROCHESTER, Mich. - After setting a Summit League record with its third postseason win, the Oakland men's basketball team (20-15) will travel out west to face Utah State (20-15) in the semifinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason tournament this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. The Golden Grizzlies and Aggies have never met on the hardwood. OU is the final team playing in the state of Michigan. The Grizzlies reached the 20-win plateau for the fourth consecutive season with their win over Rice, 77-70, last Tuesday night. Reggie Hamilton, the nation's leading scorer, was recently named Mid-Major All-American and tabbed Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award recipient, given to the nation's top player of 6-feet and under. Hamilton has scored 29 points or more in 10 straight games. The winner of OU-USU will take on the winner of Fairfield/Mercer on Wednesday, March 28. Site of the championship is yet to be determined.
