ROCHESTER, Mich. - Riding a season-high seven-game winning streak, the Oakland men's basketball team (15-13, 10-4) will play its final road game of the regular season this Wednesday at Fort Wayne (12-16, 5-9) inside the War Memorial Coliseum. The game will tip at 7 p.m. ET and can be heard on OU's flagship station WDFN-AM (1130) with Mario Impemba and Neal Ruhl (color).
The Golden Grizzlies continue to be red hot in the month of February. Since 2009, Oakland is 30-2 in league games this month, and a perfect 5-0 this season with wins over league leaders South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
OU is also a perfect 5-0 this season in one-possession games. The Golden Grizzlies have defeated Texas Southern, Horizon League leader Valparaiso, Eastern Michigan, North Dakota State and South Dakota.
The Golden Grizzlies picked up their 10th league win of the season at Kansas City last Saturday night. OU has now won 10 or more league games in seven consecutive seasons and 10 of 14 inside The Summit League. Oakland has won 15 more games than any other league member over the last five seasons.
Travis Bader and Duke Mondy continue to lead the country in 3-pointers made and steals. Bader has made 123 threes this season, one shy of his carrer best set last season (2nd in school history), while Mondy has a single-season school record 87 steals (8th in league history).
OU will return home for the final two regular-season games this season against Morehead State (2/23) and IPFW (3/2).
