Oakland Hosts South Dakota on Saturday Jan. 18, 2013
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland (8-12, 3-3) hosts South Dakota (7-12, 3-4) in a Summit League men's basketball match-up this Saturday inside the Athletics Center O'rena. Game time is set for 6 p.m. The Golden Grizzlies are playing at home for the second straight game for the first time this season. OU is 5-0 this year inside the O'rena and are scoring 85 points per game, while shooting 50 percent. Oakland is 37-3 over its last 40 league games at home. The Golden Grizzlies are 2-0 all-time versus South Dakota, winning 101-83 last year in the O'rena. Travis Bader made five 3-pointers last game and moved back into the top spot in the country with 78. Bader has reached double figures in 14 consecutive games and 19 of 20 this season. Drew Valentine is coming off his best performance of the season. The senior forward tallied a career-high and O'rena record eight steals, adding a season-high 19 points and eight rebounds. Corey Petros posted his league-best fifth double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Oakland will continue its homestand with two more games next week versus IUPUI (6-15, 1-6) on Thursday night and Western Illinois (14-4, 6-1) for Homecoming next Saturday.
