  • Keith Benson grabbed 10 rebounds tonight to push himself into 3rd all-time in OU history with 876 boards; He surpassed Ronald Brown (1969-73) on the all-time list

  • Benson scored 20 points in the 1st Half, playing all 20 minutes and made a career-high 2 3-pointers
  • Benson left the game with 10:33 due to an ankle injury, 64-62 was the score; He returned to the game at the 7:56 minute mark and recorded his 8th double-double with a season-high 26 points and 10 boards

  • The Vols 7-0 start was the best under coach Bruce Pearl
  • Pearl is 1-1 all-time against OU coach Greg Kampe when Southern Indiana defeated OU, 92-68, on Nov. 21, 1997 while both were coaching in Division II
  • Scotty Hopson is the reigning SEC Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 27 points at then-No. 3 Pittsburgh; He was held to just 1 of 7 from the field tonight and a season-low 7 points, reaching double figures in his other 7 games
  • UT shot just 22 percent (4-for-18) from beyond the arc
  • The loss tonight was the first-ever to a Summit League school, 4-1
