OAKLAND SET FOR WEDNESDAY CONTEST AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland baseball team (4-17) will hit the road on Wednesday as it faces in-state foe Central Michigan (19-12) at Theunissen Stadium beginning a 3:05 p.m. OU will look to pull even against Michigan schools having lost to Michigan State last week 5-3 in East Lansing.
The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a tough weekend where it was swept by Milwaukee in a three-game Horizon League series. OU lost two ninth-inning leads against the Panthers in a doubleheader on Saturday.
OU is led offensively by Mike Brosseau, hitting .359 with 14 RBIs and hit his first career home run over the weekend. Freshman Zach Sterry has been a solid addition to the Oakland lineup with a .328 batting average with seven RBIs and one home run. RHP Kendall Colvin will make his second start of the season for OU. In his first start he threw 4.0 innings, giving up three runs on five hits and striking out two batters.
Central Michigan is 19-12 this season including a 8-1 record in the Mid-American Conference. The Chippewas are led offensively by Cody Leichman, hitting .346 with 30 RBIs and a team-best three home runs. CMU will throw RHP Blake Hibbitts who has two appearances, one start, with a 0.00 ERA in 2.2 innings pitched.
