Cassady Completes Run at USA Junior Championship
June 28, 2009 EUGENE, Ore. – Freshman Pat Cassady wrapped up competition at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championship by running the 5K with a time of 15:16.83, finishing 13th Sunday evening at Hayward Field. "I am so proud of the way Pat handled himself this weekend," said head coach Paul Rice. "He raced really well in very hot conditions with great competition. What an awesome experience to race at Hayward Field." The Flushing, Mich. native’s time ranks in the top-10 for the Golden Grizzlies this season. "Now, it's officially time to switch gears and get ready for cross country," said Rice. "I can't wait to get started!" -30-
