Head coach Pete Hovland
said it???s too early to tell too much, but said it was a good start to the season.
???We have something to build on,??? Hovland said. ???We???re a very young team, so it???s too early to tell too much. We???ll talk about the things we need to work on at practice tomorrow and go from there.???
There was a lot of excitement and enthusiasm at the intrasquad meet according to Hovland, but there is a tough road ahead.
???We???ve been in heavy training and it will get tougher in the next two weeks,??? he said. ???We???re more concerned with how and what we???re doing in practice right now.???
Both the men???s and women???s swimming and diving teams open up their competitive season at the Notre Dame Relays on Friday, Oct. 7, at 6:30 p.m. The Golden Grizzlies will host their first meet of the season on Friday, Oct. 21, at 4 p.m. against the University of Toledo and the University of Illinois.
