The OU men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted Cincinnati, Ashland and Kenyon College in day one of action.
2011-12: ▪ Named Male Swimmer of the Championships at The Summit League Championships ▪ Won the 1,650-yard freestyle by setting a new league record ▪ Finished first in the 500-free with an NCAA 'B' qualifying time ▪ Swam on championship 800-yard freestyle relay time ▪ Earned a runner-up finish in the 200-free ▪ Mid-Major All-American Honorable Mention selection ▪ Two-time Summit League Male Athlete of the Week selection
2010-11 ▪ Earned all-league honors at The Summit League Championships ▪ Swam 4:27.81 (fifth fastest in OU history) to place second in the 500-yard freestyle and was on the championship 800 free relay team ▪ Was third in the 200 and 1650 free events ▪ Set the then school record in the 1000 free against Michigan State (Jan. 29) with a time of 9:21.81
International Experience: ▪ Won five medals at the 2010 African Junior Games ▪ Has won four gold medals at the Egyptian Junior Nationals ▪ Holds the Egyptian Under-18 record in the 400 and 800 free ▪ Coach by Haitham Hassan, an Olympic swimmer who won six Summit League titles for Oakland
