Student-Athlete Advisory Council
The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is a committee of student-athletes representing each sports team and is open to all students on campus who are interested in improving the athletic experience at Oakland University. The SAAC serves as the voice of all student-athletes and students that give suggestions on how to improve attendance, campus pride, and service within the athletic department. The SAAC's main focus is community service projects and bettering the Golden Grizzly spirit on Oakland's Campus. The SAAC meets monthly to discuss upcoming events, to review new and changing NCAA rules, and also to bring up concerns or suggestions for future events within athletics. The SAAC issues monthly newsletters to post at all team locker room sites and in surrounding athletic buildings in order to broaden the communication between all staff, students, and coaches.
