GROUP INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Halftime Performers
If your group would like the chance to perform at a fan-friendly, family oriented event OU Athletics is the place for you.  Check your calendar for what date your group is available and we'll see if we have an event for your group.  We would love to have you perform at one of our upcoming events!

All performances must be tasteful, family-oriented, and participants must be fully clothed at all times.

Examples of halftime performances include special talent groups such as, but not limited to: jump rope groups, dance groups, acrobatic groups, singing groups, magic or illusion groups, etc.  Half-time performers must complete the attached application to be considered for halftime performances.

Halftime Youth Team Scrimmages (must be 8th grade and under)
  • Youth Halftime Soccer Scrimmages at Ultimate Soccer Arena (August-October 2009)
  • Youth Halftime Basketball Scrimmages at the O'Rena (November 2009-March 2010)
Don't pass up the opportunity to have your youth basketball team play on the O'Rena court or at the Ultimate Soccer Arena during an OU athletic competition halftime.  The 2008-09 OU Athletic seasons saw a number of halftime scrimmage appearances by our very own local youth teams and greatly look forward to offering the same opportunity during the 2009-10 seasons.

The Oakland University Athletic Department would like to welcome your school to join us for the 2009-10 Friends and Family Night at the O'Rena, a special community promotion.  Our goal this season is to be able to designate a school(s) at each of our home games for unique recognition, promotions, and experiences. Your school would receive special discounted tickets, food vouchers, and exciting opportunities such as scoreboard recognition, meet and greets with our student-athletes, and game participation such as in-game promotions, the national anthem, postgame shoot around and other interactive experiences.

The Golden Grizzlies would greatly appreciate the support of your school and would like to support your school in return as well.  Groups in attendance at our games are given a special ticket rate of $5.00 which includes a single game ticket as well as a $5.00 concessions voucher.  In support of your school we would like to offer that if your school would like to use this family night event as a PTA fundraiser you could sell to your families for $7.00 per ticket, giving $5.00 to Oakland University Athletics and $2.00 back to your PTA.

OU Athletics is excited about bringing the O'Rena experience to the youth of our community, and we feel that the excitement of both our men's and women's basketball teams is the perfect way to do that.
