NCAA SELF-STUDY CERTIFICATION

MINUTES OF THE PLANNING SESSION FOR

THE TV SHOW AND TOWN HALL MEETING

SEPTEMBER 25, 2003, 10:00 A.M.

Present: Vic Zambardi, Geoff Upward, Tracy Huth, Bill Macauley, George Preisinger, Ann Ruppenthal, Jack Mehl, Michelle Piskulich, Ron Sudol, Glenn McIntosh, Jane Bentham

After much discussion it was decided that the planned cable television show and the town hall meeting would be scheduled after the Peer Review Team concludes its visit, preferably during the week of November 17.  Each subcommittee chairperson will consult with their respective subcommittees to determine which member of the subcommittee will participate in the cable television show and town hall meeting and advise Jane Bentham and Geoff Upward.   Geoff Upward and Ann Ruppenthal will prepare and coordinate the cable television show and the town hall meeting, and will facilitate other internal and external media communications.

The subcommittee chairpersons will meet with their respective subcommittees in October to review the entire report submitted to the NCAA.

Jack Mehl will consult with President Russi to discuss implementation of the nine plans for improvement that were identified by the subcommittees and included in the report submitted to the NCAA.
