NCAA SELF-STUDY CERTIFICATION

MINUTES OF THE GOVERNANCE SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING

OCTOBER 16, 2003, 11:00 A.M.

Present: Theresa Rowe, John Mills, Geoff Upward, Gary Parsons, Jack Mehl, Tracy Huth, Victor Zambardi, Ron Sudol, Karen Kukuk, Jane Bentham

Jack Mehl explained that the Steering Committee had met and determined that each subcommittee should meet to review the report as submitted to the NCAA and to make sure that all components of their subcommittee’s report were accurate. 

Jack Mehl will consult with Dr. Russi to discuss the implementation of the plans of action as submitted in the report.

Geoff Upward also noted that if the media questions any member of the subcommittee,  they are to refer all questions to the chair of the subcommittee. 

Discussion on the financial aid verification plan was discussed and how this will impact the department. 

John Mills will represent the subcommittee for the cable TV show and town hall meeting which will be scheduled the week of November 17.
