NCAA SELF-STUDY CERTIFICATION

MINUTES OF THE GOVERNANCE SUBCOMMITTEE

FEBRUARY 17, 2003, 4:00 P.M.

Present:          Ron Sudol, Bobbie Bieszki, Karen Kukuk, Gary Shepherd, Geoff Upward, Jane Bentham

The subcommittee was given information from Jack Mehl which answered self-study items for Operating Principle 1.1 Mission of the Athletics Program and the Institution.  It was then determined that Ron Sudol would contact Jack Mehl to answer self-study items in Operating Principle 1.2 Institutional Control, Presidential Authority and Shared Responsibilities.  After Ron’s meeting with Jack, a decision will be made as to whether another subcommittee meeting needs to be set in order to write a draft of the report or if the information received can be put in written form to circulate to the members of the subcommittee.
