NCAA SELF-STUDY CERTIFICATION

MINUTES OF THE ACADEMIC INTEGRITY SUBCOMMITTEE

NOVEMBER 15, 2002, 8:30 A.M.

Present:          Michelle Piskulich, Patrick Bennett, Brian Bouwman, Jennifer Gilroy, Spencer Hynes, Keith Merritt, Pete Nacy, Laura Schartman, Eric Stephan, Robert Taylor, Mohamed Zhody, Jane Bentham

Introductions were made and Michelle explained the function of the subcommittee and various members were assigned responsibilities for data gathering.

The Academic Integrity Subcommittee’s responsibilities can be found beginning on page 16 of the Self-Study Instrument

Operating Principle

            2.1 Academic Standards

Under this principle Pete, Brian and Craig will be responsible for #1, 2, and 3.  Jenny, Pat, Keith for #4 and 5, (Laura will provide data if needed.)  Laura will be responsible for #6 and help with #2 and Spencer, Mo and Eric for #8. #7 will be discussed later.

            2.2 Academic Support

                        Keith and Pat will collect the data.

            2.3 Scheduling

                        Keith, Michelle and Eric will collect the data.

The next meeting of the subcommittee will be near the end of January, date to be determined.
