Matthew John Kaczor enters his second season as the assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country and track teams.

As a student-athlete at Central Michigan, Kaczor competed with the Chippewas' cross country team from 2000-2004, helping the squad win four conference championship and finish ninth at the NCAA Championship.  The team was successful in the classroom as well, ranking in the top 25 in the nation in team GPA.

Kaczor graduated from Freeland High School in 2000, leaving his legacy behind in both cross country and track. He holds school records in 5k for cross country and the 4x800-meter relay for track. He was also named all-state twice in cross country.

Kaczor graduated from Central Michigan University in 2005 with a B.S. in Education (History). In 2005 he served as the assistant track coach at his alma mater, Freeland High School, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus as of June 2005.
