In his third season at Oakland, Tony Song will bring his 11 years of coaching experience to the Golden Grizzlies as the varsity cheerleading assistant coach in 2011-12. Song is certified through the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators.
In August of 2011, Song helped coach Oakland to its first Gold Full Paid Bid to the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Nationals. She also coached the squads' first NCA All-American, Lisa Persichetti.
A 2001 graduate of Oakland University, Song is a MCJA Cheer Judge Official and a MHSAA Member.
In addition to his duties at Oakland, Song also works as a Quality Mentoring for Wholesale Lending Employees at Flagstar Bank. He resides in Royal Oak, Mich. with his dog Mason.
