Michaelyn Sebold begins her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Oakland University for the 2011-12 season. She will be primarily responsible for volleyball, men's and women's swimming and diving and baseball this year. Sebold arrives at Oakland after spending six years as an athletic trainer at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. There she served as the primary athletic trainer for baseball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and women's basketball. She also assisted with seven other sports at Wittenberg, including football. In addition to her work at the collegiate level, Sebold also worked at the high school level. She was the athletic trainer at Mio High School and Portage Northern High School from 2002-2004. Sebold earned a B.S. in Athletic Training while an undergraduate student at Xavier University in Cincinnati. As a student at Xavier, she worked with the women's soccer and women's basketball teams. She also served as a student trainer with Thomas More College and the Detroit Shock of the WNBA. |
