Brianna Moyer will join the Oakland athletic training staff as an assistant athletic trainer for the 2011 season. She will oversee the athletic training needs for the OU men's and women's cross country teams, the men's and women's track and field teams and the Oakland softball team.

Moyer has been involved in athletic training since 2004 and most recently served as the graduate assistant trainer at Ball State. There she earned her master's in sports performance, while serving as the primary athletic training contact for the women's field hockey team and the men's and women's tennis teams. She also assisted with the BSU football team during the season.

Prior to her work at Ball State, Moyer served as an athletic training intern at Northwestern, where she assisted with daily operations and was involved with assisting the football team. Her career as an athletic trainer began at Grand Valley State, where she was an athletic training student from 2004-2008.

Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification, Moyer is licensed in both Michigan and Indiana. She also has certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association and Michigan Athletic Trainers Society.

In addition to her work in athletic training, Moyer has served as a Lab Instructor, been a representative at the MATS Student Leadership Conference and helped create the Continuing Education Units Seminar at Grand Valley State. She also worked as a medic for the Special Olympics of Michigan.

Moyer currently resides in Dryden, Mich.
