Cortney Heileman will begin her first year as a graduate assistant of strength and conditioning, at Oakland in 2011. Heileman will assist in the development, implementation, progression and oversight of comprehensive sports-specific strength and conditioning programs for Oakland's tennis & cross country teams, as well as assisting with the design and implementation of programs for Oakland's 16 additional varsity sports.

Heileman earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) where she was a four-year letter winner for tennis, as well as a team captain. Prior to graduating in 2011 she completed a Strength & Conditioning Internship at OU.

Prior to joining the OU Staff, Heileman worked as a personal trainer at SVSU's Campus Recreation Center. She is currently studying to take her Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Exam through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Heileman currently resides in East China, Mich.
