Tim Dameron joined the Oakland athletic department in October 2011 as the Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions. After serving one season in that position, Dameron was elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Sponsorships on July 2, 2012.
After elevating Oakland's game presentation during the 2011-12 basketball season, Dameron is now charged with selling sponsorship and signage for Oakland athletics. He will also oversee the marketing department, including in-game promotions and group ticket sales.
Dameron served as the Game Presentation Manager for the Detroit Pistons and Shock over the past decade. In his role at PS&E, he coordinated all the live entertainment elements, presentation in conjunction with marketing and promotions. Dameron also prided himself on maintaining one of the slimmest presentation budgets in the NBA, while continuing to produce one of the top in-game productions in the NBA and WNBA.
Dameron has also worked with Coca-Cola enterprises, Hillside Productions and the Detroit Sport and Social Club. He also spent one season as the marketing and merchandising consultant for the Nordic Vikings, a professional football team based out of Stockholm, Sweden.
A native of Sterling Heights, Mich., Dameron earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State in 1992. He went on to Kent State where he received his master's degree in sports administration in 1994. He is married to Beth and they have two children.
