Oakland Places 150 Student-Athletes on the Summit League Commissioner's List Women's swimming and diving won the Team Academic Achievement award for the second straight year.

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Summit League announced its 2011-12 Commisioner's List of Academic Excellence on Thursday as Oakland placed 150 student-athletes with representatives from all 18 intercollegiate sports on the Commissioner's list. The women's swimming and diving team won The Summit League's Team Academic Achievement Award for the second consecutive year by placing 90 percent of the team on the Commissioner's list.
In order for a student-athlete to be selected to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, he/she must carry a 3.00 or better cumulative GPA, achieve sophomore academic standing at the institution, have used a year of eligibility and be on the squad list in the sport in which he/she is nominated. Transfers, graduate students and junior college graduates must have completed one academic year at the nominating institution. True freshmen, redshirt freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for the award.
2011-12 Oakland Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence
