Oakland Leads in Academic All-Summit League Selections The Golden Grizzlies led the league for a fourth consecutive semester

ELMHURST, Ill. -- For the fourth consecutive semester Oakland led all schools with 156 student-athletes named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic All-League Team, announced by the league office on Friday. A total of 1,083 student-athletes across the league earned the distinction, which is awarded to students who post a 3.0 or better grade point average during their semester of competition.
Oakland has led The Summit League in total Academic All-Summit League selections for each of the last six years. OU had 59 student-athletes earn Distinguished Scholar accolades, a special recognition for students posting a GPA of 3.6 or above and 18 student-athletes earned all A's while competing in the sports of baseball, basketball, softball, swimming and diving, track and field and women's tennis.
