Teri Cherian will be beginning her 11th
season as head coach of the dance team Images in 2007-08. Cherian was a member of the dance team herself while a student at Oakland
University. Under her guidance, the squad has finished first at
their regional competition in each of the last two seasons. Images
has been ranked first in its region in each of the last three years and in
five of the last six. Images has competed
in many nationals competitions, finishing seventh last season at the
Universal Dance
Association national competition in Orlando, Florida. Under Cherian's
guidance the team has placed in the top-10 at nationals for the last seven
years, finishing second in 2001.
Cherian graduated in 2000 from OU with a bachelor's degree in education. She is an 8th grade science
teacher at Holy Family Regional School in Rochester Hills.
