Visiting Team Information

We would like to take the opportunity to welcome to the Athletic Training Room in the Athletics Center of Oakland University.

The athletic training room is located in room 116 on the second floor of the Athletics Center. Our normal hours of operation are 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. However, upon request the athletic training room will also be available to you outside of these hours. Please let us know in advance if you will need to use the athletic training room, so we can meet you upon your arrival. A campus map can be found at http://www2.oakland.edu/map.

Teams traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer are required to bring an instruction sheet with a list of desired treatments for athletes receiving treatments other than ice and hot packs. If no athletic trainer is traveling with your team please call ahead of time with specific instructions for treatment and taping.

A Certified Athletic Trainer will be present at all home contests. Our team physicians will be on-site or on-call during all home competitions.

The following modalities will be available in the athletic training room; hot and cold whirlpools, Rich-Mar VI with ultrasound and galvanic stimulation, Rich-Mar TheraMini Combo 3P, hydrocollator packs, Chattanooga Laser, Bio/Cryo Compression Unit and ice.

If we can be of any assistance during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact Tom Ford at (248) 370-3189, Dave McAuliffe, Lindsey Harn or John Ciecko at (248) 370-3132. We can also be reached by e-mail at ford@oakland.edu, mcauliff@oakland.edu, ljharn@oakland.edu, ciecko@oakland.edu respectively.
