| Jack Wilson has worn many hats in
his 22 years at Oakland University. During that time he has always made room in his busy
schedule for Oaklands athletes and the athletic department. Jacks long-time
service to the athletic department has earned him the George Wibby Award. Jacks
involvement with athletics includes counseling athletes, serving on the Hall of Honor
Committee, and past service on the founding committee for what is now the Marriott Soccer
Classic. In 1979-80, the athletic department reported to him. Jack is currently associate
vice president for student affairs at Oakland. Since joining the university in September
1971, he has been director of residence halls, associate dean of student life and the dean
of student life. He has also been a lecturer in health sciences, human resource
development and communication arts. He serves as the consulting psychologist at the Meadow
Brook Health Enhancement Institute, and is a licensed counselor with consulting practice.
Jack and his wife, Kathryn, live in Rochester Hills. They have two children, David, 22,
and Julie, 22. |
