| Ken Whiteside participated on the
Oakland University varsity soccer team from 1973-77. He scored 20 goals during his
freshman year and 61 goals during his career, both Oakland University records. He also
recorded a single-game record with five goals against Eastern Michigan University. Ken was instrumental in guiding Oakland University to its first
National Collegiate Athletic Association post-season tournament and scored the only goal
in a 5-1 loss to St. Louis University. He was team captain his senior year and in
subsequent years has continued to support Oakland University and its soccer program. |
