| John Savio has been one of the
top supporters of the Oakland University Athletic Programs for a number of years. His
supports include fundraising, advertising, sponsorship of special programs, donations,
special gifts, printing of flyers, and Macker Committee membership. As the manager of the Oakland University branch of the Michigan
State University Federal Credit Union, John has been a major aid to the athletic
department. The credit union has been a steady advertiser over the past number of years,
and has helped in distribution of brochures, posters, and schedule cars to the general
public. It has also sponsored special programs such as pom-pons and bookmarks. This only
begins to scratch the surface of John’s participation. He has also donated his
financial expertise to help the Gus Macker Tournament, and has been a regular fan at
OU’s athletic events.
John is a member of the Rochester and Auburn Hills Chambers
of Commerce, and has received numerous awards, including a Merit Award from the United
Way’s Oakland University campaign. John resides in Grand Blanc. |
