Dr. Glenn A. Jackson has been an Oakland University faculty member for twenty-two years. In 1972, when Oakland University joined the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Glenn was appointed faculty representative. He has faithfully served in that capacity for seventeen years.

During his tenure he has also served as chairman of the University Athletic Committee and on numerous conference committees as an OU representative to the GLIAC Executive Council.

One of his duties as faculty representative is to check the eligibility of athletes each semester.

Glenn is currently the chairman of the Computer Science department in the College of Engineering. He has a PhD from the University of Michigan and Masters and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Denver.

Glenn is an active sports fan and participant. He particularly enjoys fishing, boating, tennis and golf. He resides in the faculty sub-division with his wife, May. They have two sons, Allan and Mark.

The University as a whole and the athletic department have been fortunate to have Glenn Jackson around for more than two decades.
