Paul Hartman, Art Hoppe and George Wibby

For almost 10 years people attending Oakland university basketball and soccer games have been greeted at the door by the smiling face of Arthur C. Hoppe. Art has been a ticket-taker at OU since 1978, serving the athletic department at its home sporting events.

Art has been a Golden Staff ticket taker since the inception of the program. He has always rounded up a crew and made sure that everyone was on time for all games and events. A member of the Golden K Club as a retired Kiwanian, Art has been very supportive of our athletic program.

Art just recently celebrated his 86^th birthday.   This award is the athletic department’s way of saying thank you to a devoted worker and supporter.
