| John Drudi has been one of the
top supporters of Oakland basketball programs over the past four years. His support
includes tournament sponsorship, donations, and generations of funds for the program. Thanks to John’s generosity, the men’s program has been
able to have a basketball tournament between Christmas and New Years, the Convenient Food
Mart Classic. His kindness to the program has allowed the tournament to be first class in
terms of trophies and gifts to the participating teams. He has also raised funds for the
men’s program through the buying and selling of tables for the roasts, and for
women’s program through the Gus Macker Tournament. He also donated pop for the
workers at the Gus Macker Tournament.
John, who has been an avid participant in the athletic
staff’s noontime basketball games. He lives in Bloomfield with his wife, Darlene.
They have seven children- sons James, John, Jerome, Jeff, Joseph, and Jason, and daughter
