Ian Dittus was one of the NCAA’s top butterfliers during his career at Oakland, specializing in the 200. Ian won a pair of national titles in that event, set the national record, and was a member of OU’s 1980 Division II National Champions.

Ian was a 14-time All-American while at Oakland, and his top events showcased his versatility. He earned his national honors in the 200 fly with a time of 1:52.11 in his senior year, helping OU to the team title. He also held varsity records in his four national scoring events, plus the 1650 free.

An outstanding student at OU, Dittus earned a bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He currently works as a project engineer with the Regal Plastics Company. Ian and his wife, Jane, live in Bloomfield Hills.
