This is not a required event but is STRONGLY encouraged for those interested in the Oakland University program. It will help sharpen your skills and prepare you for the tryouts. We'll be teaching four sidelines and OU Fight Song to all cheerleading team candidates which will be evaluated during the selection weekend. This will give you a head start on knowing the material. We also will REVIEW stunt technique and dance technique. We will NOT be teaching per se "how to stunt" the actual tryout weekend.

If you can't attend the clinic, that's certainly understandable. The clinic is intended as a way to learn the "Oakland way" before you come to tryouts. The instruction period during March/April is a little less stressful than during the April 26th and 27th tryouts.  Those who attend the clinic will get a head start on the material that will be required at tryouts.  It also gives you chance to be seen by the coaching staff before tryouts.

The clinic cost is $35.00 per person payable in cash the day of the event. You also must complete the Participation Waiver and General Release form that's available online. Any clinic attendee 18 years of age or younger must have your parent sign the form as the witness. Instruction will be by former and current OU cheerleaders. The clinic is open to any high school juniors or seniors and anyone trying out for the OU Cheerleading Program.

Anyone unable to attend who wishes to receive a DVD of material covered at the clinic may send a check for $35.00 made payable to Oakland University Athletics to:
