OU’s Owen and Righetti Named All-Summit League

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University’s Julie Owen and Angela Righetti were named to the All-Summit League second team, announced by the league office late Thursday night. North Dakota State swept all the top awards as sophomore Melissa Chmielewski was named Player of the Year, senior Allison Bakke was named Pitcher of the Year, Elisa Victa was selected as Freshman of the Year and Darren Mueller was named Coach of the Year in a vote of the league’s nine head coaches. OU’s B-Jay Walker Suffers Career Ending Injury

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University men’s basketball coach Greg Kampe announced today that senior guard B-Jay Walker suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in a pick-up game. He will have to undergo surgery to repair the knee. Walker, who has had reconstructive surgery on both shoulders in the past year, has decided to forgo his final year of eligibility due to the injuries. STORY
